Stop usage reports
In the app, open Settings → Privacy and turn on “Opt out of usage analytics.” Reading, topic filtering, and local opened history continue to work.
Advertising choices
Open Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy choices when that control is available. Google’s privacy message lets you review the choices required for your location. Advertising privacy choices are separate from usage analytics.
Clear local information
Your topic choices, reading history, and other settings are stored on your device. Android’s app-storage controls can clear them and reset setup. Platform backup behavior can affect whether settings are restored. Clearing storage or uninstalling does not cancel a store subscription.
Request access, correction or deletion
Email support@thegladreader.com with “Privacy request” in the subject. Explain which information you want accessed, corrected or deleted: for example, support correspondence, a subscription-verification record or an alert registration. We may ask for an app or transaction identifier to locate the record and verify the request. Do not send passwords, payment-card details or device authorization secrets.
We remove identifiable information when it is no longer needed and deletion is permitted. Some transaction, security and legal records may need to be retained to resolve purchases, prevent misuse or meet legal obligations; we will explain any applicable retention when responding. Our subscription verification provider processes subscription records on our behalf. Advertising information held by Google is subject to Google’s own controls and policy. Removing app records does not cancel a subscription; manage cancellation in Google Play or the App Store.
What cannot be linked back
The current usage counters contain monthly totals rather than individual events or a persistent device identifier. We cannot identify which count belongs to you or remove an individual contribution from those totals.
