These Terms and Conditions govern The Glad Reader app and thegladreader.com, provided by Media Hogg LLC. Contact: support@thegladreader.com. By selecting “Agree and continue,” you agree to these terms and acknowledge our separate Privacy Policy, which describes our data practices.
What the service provides
The Glad Reader is a text-focused reading service with Relaxing and Unfiltered feeds. You choose topics and content types. Relaxing aims for calmer reading, but we cannot guarantee that every reader will find every story comfortable. Unfiltered can cover difficult subjects. Content is informational, not individualized legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
Editorial content and accuracy
Content may be prepared and reviewed with AI assistance. We use source links and checks, but errors and omissions can occur and information can change. Opinion is labeled. We may correct, update, reclassify, or remove content. For consequential decisions, consult original sources and appropriate professionals. Report possible errors through our support page.
Using the app
You may use the service for your own lawful reading. Do not interfere with its operation, bypass access controls, misuse automated requests, impersonate others, or infringe others’ rights. You must be able to enter into these terms under applicable law; if parental or guardian permission is required, obtain it. The service is not directed to children under 13.
Subscriptions and test access
The current test version has no enabled purchases or paid phone alerts. Planned US pricing is $1.99 per month or $19.99 per year for unlimited reading and alerts for important updates on House and Senate bills in your chosen topics. The app has no ads. Free-trial or free-reading limits are still being tested and will be shown before any purchase. Selecting a plan in the test app does not subscribe or charge you.
Future store purchases
When available, the store checkout will show price, taxes where applicable, billing period, renewal terms, trial eligibility, and cancellation details before you confirm. Subscriptions will be managed through the store used for purchase. Cancel through that store’s subscription settings; uninstalling an app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are subject to applicable law and store rules. No paid entitlement is promised before purchasing is enabled.
Ownership and external links
Media Hogg LLC and its licensors retain rights in the app, design, and original content. You may read and share links for personal use. Other uses must be permitted by law or authorized by the rights holder. Linked sources and their content belong to their respective owners; a link does not transfer reuse rights or imply endorsement.
Availability and changes
We may improve, interrupt, or discontinue features or restrict misuse. We do not guarantee an uninterrupted service, a minimum article count, or delivery of every update. We will give notice of material changes where required. Updated terms will carry a new effective date, and we will request renewed agreement when appropriate.
Responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without a guarantee of completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
